Thank You

Team GPF/Babbitts Online would like to thank all of the great people who helped make our season the best yet. With our second season of AMA Arena Cross now behind us it is time to thank everyone involved with helping us to become a minor success story within the Arena Cross community. Our Teams Goals have been and will continue to be to graduate talented, hard working young athletes up through the current AMA advancement system so that they may one day fulfill their dreams of SX and MX stardom. Or to possibly make their mark as one of the top Arena Cross racers in the county.

When the AX season kicked off in Des Moines, Iowa in November our goals were to have Shane Sewell pursue the AX Lites North title, while Dave Ginolfi would concentrate on the AX Lites East. Both riders would also be competing in the AX class on selected occasions. On some weekends this also involved splitting the riders and sending them to different locations as the East and North Devisions raced in different locations on three separate occasions. With the racing being as close as any that i have seen, it required a level of dependability from our equipment that could only be delivered with the help of suppliers such as yourselves. With our two main riders Shane and Dave, we did not experience one equipment failure. Also with the level of commitment that each of you gave us, it allowed us to be able to showcase your products in a manor that I considered to be first class.

We have just completed then season in Green Bay with one our best efforts yet as Shane Sewell was crowned AMA North Lites Champion after a decisive win on Fri night followed by a great ride on Sat to claim the runner up spot and overall championship.

Dave Ginolfi was also a great asset and his determination throughout the season gave him a shot at the East Lites Division that went down to the last race. Dave actually lead the final event but with the points spread just a little to big and a couple of small mistakes he had to settle for 2nd O/A in the East Lites Division.

Both of these riders also let it be know that their intentions to move up to race the AX class in the future will also be successful as their performances in that class all season gave them enough points to allow them to enter for AMA Pro National SX and AMA Pro Outdoor.

Kyle Tobin also became a part of our program late in the season and although it was his fist attempt at AX, several top five and podium finishes indicate he has skills that could carry him into a future in AX. We look forward to helping him in the future if AX is what he would like to do.

All three of these riders will be continuing there efforts as they will be finishing up the season by competing in the AMA East SX lites classes where they have already began to establish themselves. Not only has Shane Sewell qualified for the first two SX events he has ever entered, his eighth place finish at Daytona indicates he not only has the determination in the face of adversity but also his equipment was up to the task and that is a direct reflection on each and every one of you.

Team GPF /Babbitts Online was very happy to continue our relationships with great supporters such as yourself and also to begin new relationships with others. We sincerely hope that you have all found our efforts to be as rewarding for you as they have been for Team GPF/Babbitts Online and we look forward to working with you as we continue to grow. For a better look at how the AX season went for GPF please don't miss some of the televised events on Speed Channel.
